What This Workshop Is

When identity fuses with output, the result is often chronic over-functioning, invisible labor, and a breakdown of capacity. Disabling us from showing up for the things that matter most, at work and at home.

This 90-minute interactive workshop creates space to step back from that pattern. Through short teaching segments, guided reflection, and discussion, participants explore how work identity develops and how to begin separating identity from output so work can remain meaningful without becoming all-consuming.

Who This Workshop Is For

This workshop is designed for people who:

  • Work in demanding or fast-moving environments

  • Are often the reliable one on their team

  • Carry a strong sense of responsibility for outcomes and people

  • Notice that work has become tightly tied to their sense of identity

  • Want to maintain ambition and impact without constant internal strain

While the conversation often resonates strongly with women navigating leadership in retail and technology environments, the dynamics explored here apply to any high achiever working in demanding systems.

Participants leave with practical clarity, not just insight.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Understand how high-pressure environments fuse identity with performance

  • Recognize the hidden cost of always being the reliable one

  • Complete a guided identity audit to distinguish core traits from adaptive workplace behaviors

  • Identify where your capacity needs support most right now

  • Leave with a simple lens for protecting capacity while continuing to do meaningful work
